Health & Safety

As part of our commitment to ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’, we are passionate about delivering high standards in the health, safety and wellbeing for all our students and staff. We take a sensible approach to health and safety in school, with a dedicated focus on how the real risks are managed. This approach helps us to strike the right balance so that risks are minimised whilst learning opportunities are experienced to the full. Our health and safety management system is straightforward and robustly managed, forming an integral part of the school’s leadership and safeguarding procedures.

We effectively manage health and safety by:

  • Having a detailed health and safety policy that is effectively managed at local level.
  • Clearly defined management responsibilities
  • A robust training strategy for all staff, which includes provision of information, instruction and supervision
  • Effective communication throughout the school on health and safety matters.
  • We obtain competent health and safety advice from our partners, London Borough of Enfield and the schools consultants www.elliswhittam.com
  • Risk assessments are undertaken and the necessary controls implemented.
